At March Family Dental Care, we couldn’t be happier to begin to see you and your smile back at our Peotone dental office. We are here to reassure you that we’ll be taking every precaution to ensure safety for you and your family as you return to your regular dental care routine.
When you do return to the office, whether it’s for a cleaning or more in-depth treatment, you’ll notice a few additional safety measures in place. We’re committed to following the guidelines as suggested by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention along with the American Dental Association.
Pre-Appointment Screening and Office Visit Instructions
Prior to your appointment with us, we’ll be asking you to self-check your wellness, and let us know if you are feeling sick. You’ll let Jamie and Sarah know how you’re feeling on the phone when they call to confirm your visit. If anything changes with your health before your visit, please let us know ASAP.
Our lobby is now open! When you arrive in the parking lot, we ask that you give us a call or text the office if you are uncomfortable waiting in the lobby. When your treatment room is prepared, the front desk will reach out to you so you know we’re ready to open the door for you. While you wait in the lobby, please maintain social distancing when choosing a seat.
All patients must wear a mask before entering the building. You’ll be asked to use hand sanitizer, and complete a pre-treatment rinse of your mouth. We ask that you try to limit companions coming to your visit to help us all practice more effective social distancing.
Sterilization and Disinfection
Your team at March Family Dental Care has always taken both sterilization and disinfection seriously, and we continue to do so now more than ever before. We disinfect all surfaces with Biosurf, a hospital-grade disinfectant with a one minute kill time. Anything that comes in contact with a patient is either autoclaved (sterilized under high heat and pressure) or immediately disposed of.
You’ll notice our staff might look a little different. All of our clinicians will be wearing N95 equivalent masks. We currently have a locker room in the basement along with laundry facilities. All clinicians are now required to change out of soiled scrubs after patient care and leave their work shoes at work to prevent outside contamination. Every employee is screened daily for possible viral symptoms.
Appointments and Scheduling
As always, we want to make scheduling your appointment with us as stress-free as possible. We want to reassure you that despite all of these new safety measures going into effect, your appointment will not take longer than usual. However, scheduling your visit might require a bit more flexibility on your part to enable proper social distancing. We’re also pleased to say our fee structure remains unchanged, and we don’t anticipate charging a PPE fee to our family of patients.
