Dr. Peter J. March attended the University of Illinois at Urbana as an undergraduate after graduating from Peotone High School. He received his Doctor of Dental Surgery, with high honors, from the University of Illinois, College of Dentistry in Chicago. He began practicing in Peotone in 1984, continuing the practice established in 1954 by his father, Dr. James J. March.

In 1992, he received his fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry by taking over 500 hours of continuing education and passing a proficiency exam in general dentistry. In 2003, he received his Mastership by taking an additional 600 hours of continuing education. He is also a clinical evaluator for Clinical Research Associates, the "Consumer Reports" of dentistry.

In addition to his dental practice, Dr. March maintains an active membership in many professional and community organizations. His professional associations include:
  • American Dental Association
  • Academy of General Dentistry
  • Illinois Dental Society
  • Kankakee District Dental Society (a past president)
Dr. March’s community activities include Village of Peotone Planning and Zoning Commission, Rainbow Council Boy Scout Executive Board, Venture Crew 315 Advisor, St. Paul’s Catholic Church Parish Council and Chamber of Commerce member. His hobbies include flying his Cherokee Six, snow skiing and following his kids in the Marching Illini.

Dr. March resides in Peotone with his wife, Elizabeth, and their two sons and daughter.
